They combine the crunch of parmesan with the melting heart of mozzarella, all with a touch of seasoning for a delicious and tasty result. Ingredients (for about 20 bites): 200 g mozzarella (in small balls or cut into cubes) 80 g grated parmesan 80 g breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch) 2 eggs 1 teaspoon Italian herbs (oregano, basil, etc.) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste Oil for frying (or baking) Preparation:😍😋😋
1. Prep Ingredients:
Drain mozzarella balls well if using water or whey. If using block mozzarella, cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Coat Mozzarella:
In a separate bowl, lightly beat eggs.
Dip each piece of mozzarella in the beaten egg, then roll in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture to coat.
Repeat for each piece to coat. For a thicker coating, you can do a second coat in egg and breadcrumbs.
3. Cook:
Option 1: Fry
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry the bites for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden and crispy. Be careful not to overcook them so the mozzarella doesn’t leak.
Drain on paper towels.
